Nobel Prize in Physics
Posted in Uncategorized with tags Uncategorized on October 3, 2006 by quantummoxieThis year’s winners for the Nobel Prize in Physics were primary researchers on the COBE satellite at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. When I was an engineer, about eight or nine years ago or so, I actually did some work while I was at Goddard on some of the COBE data. Personally, I was working on interstellar dust stuff, so I never knew Mather or Smoot, but most of my colleagues on the SeaWiFS project had come over from COBE after COBE had wrapped up primary operations. So I have a very, very, very tenuous link to this year’s prize! How cool is that?
